Changing the texture on part of a 3D model - Macromedia Director 3D

I was wondering how you can change the texture on just part of an imported 3D model created in Maya. For example, if I import a model of bottle, I would like to be able to change the color of the cap and the color of the bottle itself, not just the entire model....

You can change the texture of a given shader (or material in Maya).
You must first make sure you have created and assigned a shader to the zone
you want to change the texture of.
You can also change the color without using a texture with the diffuseColor
    property of shaders.

Have a look at the Diffuse Color and Texture Mapping behaviors in the Chrome
