changing type size in paragraph styles and how it effects nested styles
In a book I'm developing, I decided to up the point size for my "first paragraph" and "body text" in my paragraph styles. I have nested styles in "first paragraph" (a drop cap followed by three words of small caps) and they do not change accordingly but remain the original smaller size. Is there a way to fix this?

If sounds as though in setting up your Drop Caps and Small Caps styles you explicitly included font sizes in the character styles you're using. Either adjust the sizes or eliminate them.
