chart - Macromedia Freehand

I like the chart tool. I draw the chart. The font size is usually bigger than I need so I always lower them and align to the line of chart. But if I have to correct the chart, the font size get back to previous size when the chart was first drawn. And again I have to lower the size of font and align again. I have to do this everytime if I have to correct numbers or texts. This has been very frustrating to me. Is there a remedy for this? Or is there any alternate to chart tool?...

The chart tool uses your Normal text style, found in the Styles panel. You
can change the Normal style to any font/size/color, etc, that you wish.

    1. Set up a text block as you prefer, and leave it selected.

    2. Go to the Styles panel. Select Redefine from the pop-up options, and
    redefine Normal style.

Now when you use the chart tool your new Normal style will be used.

Be careful, though, because if your doent contains other Normal styled
text, it will change to reflect the redefined style.

That has been bugging me for years in Freehand. Illustrator's chart tool
looks a bit better but you need to use three palettes to control the thing.

The work around I've come up with is I set the chart up in size like I
want then save a copy of the chart off the page. The one on the page I
ungroup (loses chart editing at this point) and then style. If I need to
change anything I edit the chart off the page and then copy over the
parts that have changed to swap out with the chart on the page.

    Happy charting!
