Check in and out in contribute
I have only just started to use Contribute and am testing it out to see if it
will work for my clients.
I have set up a key for an imaginary client in Contribute and when I am in
Dreamweaver I can see when someone is editing a page and visa versa, so the
check out of pages works. However when I published the file via Contributor,
it does not automatically check in, and the user was still seen as editing the
page on the remote server as seen in the Dreamweaver window. Any idea how a
user can check in a file using Contribute?

Re: Check in and out in contribute
Is the "imaginary Client" set up as a publisher? This person need to have publisher rights to do this.

Re: Check in and out in contribute
Yes. I have set the 'imaginary client' to be able to do text changes only and
is able to edit pages and publish back to the server.
I tried editing a page and any changes made are shown to made on the actual
website online.
Just set up the client again as a publisher and opened a page in contribute,
edited and saved it.
All the while I had dreamweaver open and even though I can see the fact that
the client is updating, after it has been published and says 'congratulations
etc' it still shows as checked out in the dreamweaver remote server.
The only way for me to check if people have checked in their files is for me
to log off and back onto the server in dreamweaver.
Should this not be automatically updated in dreamweaver?
