Chicago font substitution
I've inherited a document that was created on a Mac. However, I'm using a PC and don't have access to several fonts used in the original. Does anyone know what would be the best substitution font to replace the Chicago font that was used in the original? (FYI - the Chicago font has zeroes with a diagonal slash through them and has sort of "digital" appearance similar to courier.) Any suggestions?

Re: Chicago font substitution
Thanks, Bob. It's better than nothing, but it looks like I'm still going to have to search through a couple hundred fonts to find one that looks like Chicago.
Anybody know what would be a good replacement for Chicago?

Anything wrong with "Chicago", as linked by Mr. Levine?

Re: Chicago font substitution
Yeah, my PC (running Windows XP) didn't like the font file and spit it back out when I tried to install. It gave me the following error message:
"Unable to install the Chicago Vanlig tekst (TrueType) font. The font file maybe be damaged. Check with your font vendor about obtaining a new file."
Any other suggestions?

Re: Chicago font substitution
If you can install it on another computer, set it, and convert to paths, you can save that file, then open it on yours.
I just tried it here (Win 2k), and no dice. Perhaps you can purchase it from the Font Bureau, but I doubt it. Someone on a Mac, using Fontographer, could...
