CIB file will not import.
I am teaching an Acrobat class using Acrobat 7 Professional Classroom in a Book lessons. The multimedia chapter 10 has now started acting up on the .swf file that we must place with the movie tool.
We have not tried other .swf files at this time, but we select this file and say OK to place it and Acrobat gives us this message:
Cannot create the movie annotation because the movie could not be loaded. This can occur if the file cannot be found or the URL is unreachable (make sure proxy server settings are correct).
I don't know if something is missing in the OS, which would mean we have a faulty mirror source for all our instruction workstations, or it is already outdated?
I found this message in the Console log:
006-11-09 16:22:35.114 Acrobat[456] WARNING: _wrapRunLoopWithAutoreleasePoolHandler got kCFRunLoopExit, but there are no autorelease pools in the stack.
I know this is directly connected with our attempts to place this movie. So what does it tell anyone?
Thanks for any help!
Tim

Re: CIB file will not import.
In the Finder: Apple > System Preferences > QuickTime > Advanced > Check Enable Flash.
Short explanation: Both InDesign and Acrobat use QuickTime to reads Flash (SWF) files. Apple changed this in the latest versions of Mac OS X 10.4.8 and QuickTime.
