Default CID update, then cannot be embedded, liscencing restrictions

I'm working in Quark 4.3 and before distilling (using Distiller 4 and/or 5)a .ps I received "Update your CID library now". Did that, and now I get "MHeigh GB Light cannot be embedded due to liscencing restrictions".

This probably is related to the CID library. I do not know how to fix it.

There is nothing to fix. You aren't allowed to embed the font.

Maybe you not licensed to use the version of the font "now" used. Is there anyway you can pull the font of the old version and install?

I am asking this not just the author the question, but any of the experts here on the group.

Another thing did you go back into Distiller and update the fonts that are embeded.

How do you update fonts that are embedded? Can you point me to troubleshooting steps?

I wonder if I need to point to the CID library? I don't know where it is, or how to do thaT.

open Distiller (If your using Distiller) and choose the Job option your using then choose edit. when edit window open there is a section cllaed fonts. click on that and look for embed all Fonts. Distiller is set up to embed any and all fonts its legally supposed to. IT will add any fonts it can to two list one Embed Fonts and the other makes references to fonts it can not.

When through click okay until you back completely out.

As for adding the old font, back to system. If you can find the previous font you used. go to Library > Fonts Folder and drop the font there. It will be added to the list of files you can use.

When you go to font book it will show a black rectangle next to the name indicating more than one copy of the fonts is somewhere in the font system. either in system Folder > Fonts; Library > Fonts; or yourname > Libraray > Fonts.

First folder of fonts is mostly for the system to use but everyone can use. The Library > Fonts folder is for All users to Use; The last is for your profile only to use.
