Default clicking on diagonal lines crashes MX11

I have a problem where if I magnify up to either 1200, 1600 or 2100% and click
a diagonal line or its endpoint (usually for me construction lines running to a
vanishing point), FHMX just quits immediately. Yet clicking on the lines or
endpoints while at below 800% has not caused a quit.

Has anyone encountered this problem, or overcome it?

    It's not happening here.

Are you using FHMX 11.0.2? What is your platform and OS?

What kind of display and video driver? Are you using a dual monitor setup?
This sounds like it could be a video driver problem.

    Hi Judy

    Freehand 11.0 build 416
    Platform: OSX 10.2.8
    Computer: G4 1.25 dual
    Dual flat screens - 21in and 17in

Not so sure about what type of driver it has, there was no mention of it in
the profiler. Whats the way to check?

Do you think I need more video memory?

I recommend that you first download and install the FHMX 11.0.2 update and
see if that fixes the problem. FH 11.0.0 is flaky in many respects.

Your video cards are listed in Profiler under 'PCI/AGP Cards'. Apple
includes video card driver updates for all Apple-installed cards in its OS
updates. You will have a second card to drive your second monitor. Therefore
you must have a driver (extension) to run it. The driver should show up in
Profiler under Software/Extensions. It's not always easy to identify drivers
    by the cryptic names used.

Did you first use the second video card under OS 9? If so, did you install a
new driver when you moved to OS X?

Who is the manufacturer of the card? Go to the manufacturers web site and
see if they offers a driver newer than the one you're currently using in OS
    X.

Video memory only adds more color depth or higher resolution (more pixels)
to the maximum the monitor will support. I doubt it has anything to do with
    your problem.
