Default Cloning a server via NIM using a mksysb image failes

    Hello,

I'm trying to clone a server via NIM using a mksysb image from the source.
Following the instructions in the NIM Guide, I defined resources for the
mksysb image, SPOT and lpp_source for the corresponding AIX level (4.3.3).

However, booting the server over the network (IP connectivity works and the
target is in the same subnet as the master), the target machine continues
with the 2nd boot device after the following output instead of installing
    the image:

BOOTP: wait 60 seconds for Spanning Tree ...
    BOOTP S = 1
    FILE: /tftpboot/156.109.175.134 Load Addr=0x4000
    Max Size=0xbfc000 FINAL Packet Count = 8056
FINAL File Size = 4124460 bytes.

    BOOTP: wait 60 seconds for
Spanning Tree ... BOOTP: do-arp-req failed: 0 BOOTP: do-
    arp-req failed: 1 BOOTP: do-arp-req failed: 2
    BOOTP: do-arp-req failed: 3 BOOTP: do-arp-req failed:
4 BOOTP ERROR: ARP failed, ABORT !20A80003 !

Anyone out there who can help
    me with this?

Thanks in advanced and best regards,

OK. Stupid me was thinking to work with rs6K machines, but for NIM it is a
chrp. Using that type in the NIM client options made it working...

.... at least up to the next problem. The whole process works on my test
machine using the same NIM master, but on the production machine, the boot
process stops after closing stdin and stdout:

Create a bosinst_data resource point to a bosinst.data file with an
entry of CONSOLE = /dev/tty0 and maybe BOSINST_DEBUG = yes You may
find that you get to the operating system installation menu, so you
may/should have an entry in you bosinst.data file of
    EXISTING_SYSTEM_OVERWRITE = yes

Have you also tried doing "lsnim -l <hostname" where <hostname> is the
    NIM client you are building.
