    Default Clustering Question

I have one thing I dont understand about the new multiple instance clustering
in CFMX 7 Enterprise. I want to make 3 instances all serving the same doc root.
Basically they're just there for failover. When I initially install CFMX, it
starts with 1 instance named 'cfusion'. I can successfully create aditional
instances in the CF Admin. Let's name them 'cfusion2' and 'cfusion3'. I can
sucessfully create a cluster...let's call it 'cluster1' and add cfusion2 and
cfusion3 to that cluster. Now the question is, what about the first instance,
cfusion? When I go into the JRun admin (not the CF Admin) I can see cfusion and
I can add it to cluster1, but should I be doing that? If cfusion isn't part of
cluster1 (as shown in jrun admin) is it really a part of the cluster at all or
is it more of a cluster manager (if there is such a thing)? How can I be sure
that the cluster is serving requests instead of being served by just the
instance named cfusion? And does 'cfusion' need to be running as well as having
cluster1 running? I feel like I just have an extra instance hanging out there
where it's not supposed to be. Thanks, AltImage

also, do i need to onfigure the apache connector to work with the cluster
'master' instead of just its default 'cfusion'. I thought that was part of the
procedure but they skipped that step in the recent article here:
