    Default CMYK Converts to RGB

    QUESTION:

This Question appears in the FAQ section but the page no longer exists.

When working in CMYK, and then saving work in 9.0, Illustrator converts the document to RGB. I have noticed that when I save in an older format, the document will remain CMYK. I trashed my preferences and it appears to be working, but why is this happening? Have I done something to cause Illustrator to keep converting my documents to RGB?
