CMYK to RGB - Macromedia Freehand

I haven't used Freehand too much. I am use to Illustrator. I was able to convert a doent's color space from cmyk to rgb. I am using EPS graphics and importing them into Flash, which doesn't use cmyk. I have tried changing the cmyk to rgb during the export, but the graphic still came into Flash looking as it would as a cmyk based graphic. Any help? _t...

If you use lens fills the colors will not be interrpreted correctly in rgb.

Just switching to RGB doesn't make a color more vivid, the CMYK values
are directly convertible to an equal RGB value. If you start with CMYK
and change to RGB you should get the same exact color, just in RGB
space. In order to get a more intense RGB color that is not possible in
CMYK you would need to re-mix the color in RGB.

FreeHand doesn't have a "doent color space". Any item on a FH page can be
spec'd using any color model available. In FH8, the Color List (called
Swatches in MX, I believe) shows the color space of a given color and the
Object Inspector shows the color space of an imported raster graphic. Now
sure how all this works in MX.

Thanks. That answers my question. I'm not too happy to hear the answer but
it is the answer to my question.

Just curious, but what don't you like about the answer? I don't see a
downside here. FreeHand supports both CMYK and RGB even in the same
doent. I find Illustrator's color mode ala Photoshop to be very
    limiting.
