ColdFusion templates?
Hi. For over a year now, I've been using Contribute for a single section on my
agency's intranet to let one user create a page from a Dreamweaver html
template once a week, and all has been going fairly smoothly. Until now. I
have been tasked with updating the entire website to go from .htm files to .cfm
files, for the sole purpose of putting an include on each page. I THOUGHT I
knew what I was doing. I created a ColdFusion template and saved it on my
production server. I tested it multiple times with Dreamweaver and it should
work exactly like the html template did. Then I went into my Contribute site |
Administer Sites and I added the template to the list of templates my user
could see. I thought for sure because it found the template I'd be fine. no
such luck. The template does not show up in the list of templates for the user
to choose from. I thought maybe I just needed to generate a new key, that
didn't work. I thought maybe my personal machine got mucked up so I went to a
fresh machine, installed contribute, used the key and still can't see the
template in my list... help!

Is your new template a coldFusion Dreamweaver template with <i>templatename</i>.<b>dwt.cfm</b>? Did you try the "Refresh templates" on the file>new dialogue box?
