ColdFusionMX7 Application Server Service Not Starting
I'm getting a "Vendor Specific Error Code 2" when I try to start my CFMX7
Application Server service on a Win2KServer box running IIS. Does anyone have
any idea what that error code means and/or have any idea on how to get around
it?
Thanks!

Re: ColdFusionMX7 Application Server Service NotStarting
Can you give us some further details of your install? How do you have CF
installed? Stand alone? J2EE? Anything interesting popping up in the Event
logs of 2k? How about your server, application or exception logs? How about
the JRun logs?

Re: ColdFusionMX7 Application Server Service NotStarting
It is a Stand Alone install on Windows 2000 Server running IIS 6. The only
thing the Win2k error logs state is "Service-Specific Error Code 2." I can get
it started via command line but it seems to crash about every five minutes.
Nothing specific in the CF error logs. I'm not sure where the JRun Error logs
are.

Re: ColdFusionMX7 Application Server Service NotStarting
Sorry, I meant that the server is running IIS 5 (not 6).

just wanted to post this message to the top.
If anyone can point me to MM's or Adobe's official response to this known installation bug it would be much appreciated.
thanks!
