    Which version of FHMX are you using?

    In FHMX, look in the Object Inspector. Text Block should show no fill or
    stroke. If there's a white stroke, click on it and then delete it by
    clicking on the trash can icon.

    Judy thanks for your reply. I work with FH 10. I checked the object inspector;
    it shows the dimentions the W & H and the inset. The display border is checked.
    (i tried to print w/ the display border unchecked and i still got the white
    border around my red text.) Do you think it maybe have something to do w/
    knockout...? thanks again for your time and help. sara

    Okay, I think FH 10 is the same as FH9. In FH9 you would select the text
    block (no text highlighted). Go to the stroke inspector and set the pop-up
    menu to 'None'.

    If all else fails, clone the text block and send it to a non-printing
    background layer so you can do further editing, if necessary. Select the
    text block to be printed and Convert to Paths. That will get rid of any text
    block attributes.

    In preferences, there's a color preference that controls whether color list
    selections apply to text or container color. Make sure you have it set for
    the kind of text editing you do.
