color images appear grayscale in PDF created from Word using Distiller 4.0
OS is Windows 2000. Docs created in Word 2000 contain color images. Using Distiller 4.0 to create PDFs by "printing" the Word doc to a .prn file (with a "generic PostScript printer"), then opening the .prn in Distiller.
All images appear in grayscale in the resulting PDF. Is there some switch I'm missing? Other ideas?

The generic PostScript printer driver is B&W, hence your result. Print to the Distiller Printer directly.

It comes with Acrobat. You can try a custom install from the CD or reinstall Acrobat completely. Also, for Windows 2000 compatibility you need to download and install the 4.05 update from the download section of Adobe's web site.
