Color is off in Illustrator
We are using a G5 with 10.3.2 using Illustrator CS. When you save a photo as a EPS from Photoshop CS, and then place the image into a Illustrator doc., the color is completely off. It has no profile attached to it. Is there any thing we can do to make the color correct when placing into Illustrator? Thank you in advance.

Re: Color is off in Illustrator
EPS files are not designed for color management because they "lock in" the color. Use a Photoshop .PSD file or .TIF file. Save the file with a profile.
Make sure your color management settings are the same in both Photoshop CS and Illustrator CS, and make sure you've turned color management on.

Re: Color is off in Illustrator
I've checked the image and in Photoshop CS, it is using the "Emulate Photoshop 4" setting. I set my doc. in Illustrator to the same and when I place the tif image in, it is completely lighter than it should be. The Photoshop ver. is much darker as it should be. Should I keep tampering with the color settings for each program?

Re: Color is off in Illustrator
Emulate Photoshop 4 is not using color management! If you're using doing this for prepress, you should probably choose the US Prepress Defaults settings in each application.
