If you have not seen it by now - I see this post was a long time ago - try the link above. It is a very informative and somewhat critical look at FreeHand 10s Colour Management.
I've been using the program for years and there were still a couple of things that I was doing "wrong", because I had not understood the full implications of FH's weird colour mgt. system.

From the article it sounds as though there is a way to do what you want, but it is not obvious and requires some attention.

Hope this helps anyone who's stuck on this point?
