Color shift? - Macromedia Fireworks

I'm trying to create a simple text image with a dark blue background that matches the background of the DIV in which it will be placed. The color is #000068. I set the Fireworks canvas color to #000068, but when I export the GIF image, the background color always shifts to #000066. What am I doing wrong? Using Fireworks 4.0 on Windows XP Pro. Many thanks. Default Color shift?

I'm trying to create a simple text image with a dark blue background
that matches the background of the DIV in which it will be placed. The
    color is #000068.

I set the Fireworks canvas color to #000068, but when I export the GIF
image, the background color always shifts to #000066.

What am I doing wrong? Using Fireworks 4.0 on Windows XP Pro.

    Many thanks.
