Colors are different when printing from Photoshop CS and Illustrator 10
When I print a same SMYK image from Illustrator 10 and from Photoshop CS I get absolutely different colors. I use Xerox 7750 laser printer and it works fine. Where is a problem? How should I print document to get the same colors as in the printing house or something close to it?

Re: Colors are different when printing from Photoshop CS and Illustrator 10
Elena,
First, make sure your color settings are the same in Photoshop and Illustrator. See Len "The Machine" Hewitt's post in this discussion <http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?14@@.3bb4285d/1>.
Once that's done, make sure you're using the same print-time settings in both applications.
Finally, I notice that the Xerox Phaser 7750 can print in either Postscript or PCL mode. Since you're working in CMYK, you must print to a Postscript device if you want accurate color.
If the printing press is your intended destination, your workspace and output profiles (in both applications) should represent that color space. In the U.S., the typical choice is U.S Web Coated (SWOP).
