Combining interactive PDFs into a single file in Acrobat 5 and Acrobat 6 on Windows
In Acrobat 5 for Windows, one could go through the following steps to collate multiple copies of an interactive PDF as a single file:
1. Create the interactive form. This might be, for example, a teaching schedule
preference form.
2. Complete multiple copies, with different information. For example, each
member of the department would complete a single preference form.
3. Open one copy of the completed PDF.
4. Use the Document | Insert Page command to insert another copy of the
form (completed with different information, as noted).
5. Repeat Step 4 until all the copies are collected in a single file.
6. Save the file.
During this process, each copy of the form would retain its unique information, even though the form field names were the same.
In Acrobat 6 for Windows, attempting the same process results in over-writing the field data in each preceding page with the values from the new page. In other words, all the pages in the file would have the data from the last page imported.
Is there any way to work around this, to get the same results as in Acrobat 5?
