Compatibility Components

I play a game called Habbo Hotel. I uninstalled Shockwave because the game
would not work. So I installed Shockwave once more and I get this screen that
says "Installing Compatibility Components" and it never finishes loading -
heck, it doesn't even start loading. Ive waited even 6 whole hours and nothing
changes. Please, if you have any bit of help, i'd appreciate it so much ...

So I uninstalled Shockwave and re-installed it to see if the game would now
work. But then I get a screen saying "Adobe Shockwave Player now installing"
and at the bottom "Installing Compatibility Components". The compatability
components won't finish loading - heck, it doesn't even start. I've waited
around 4 hours for it to load and nothing does. Can someone please, please
help? Not only is this affecting Habbo Hotel but my other games and programs
that need Shockwave aswell.

I wonder why Adobe didn't decide to go with a forum like vBulletin. There are so many quarks like that in forum building, it would seem to be more cost effective to implement an existing system.
