I have an old Nikon FM and I want to try and use my Nikkor 28-105mm AF-D f/3.5-4.5 with it. Do I need to compensate for the varying aperture when using it at the telephoto end? Thanks in advance, Derek...

If you have TTL metering then it will compensate for you. If your metering
with a handhelp meter then make sure you know what focal length your using.
