Complex situation
OK, here's the scenerio.
One department here uses the same Access database (on a
network) for various reasons, all different, but with the
same data. Now, I've created a separate SQL Server db to
house new applicants via a website.
The SQL Server sits alone and cannot see any network
drives. I need to develop a process that will get the
applications (either on demand or scheduled) from the SQL
Server and place the table into the network drive Access
db. I cannot redevelop the entire process to be in SQL
Server, although idea, but time contraints limit that
possibility. I don't think I can use DTS to complete the
process completely (and scheduled) because it cannot see
the networked drive. So how can I accomplish this? Could
I use DTS to create the process of exporting then use the
VB code it creates and run it on the client machine? Does
anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Re: Complex situation
Can you install SQLServer Enterprise Manager on a system that *can* see the
network drive? Then use DTS from there.
