    Default Complicated text flow

Please see the this example at <http://iwillglo.com/practice/overset.html>

I have a journal that is set up as shown in the example with article titles spanning two columns.

How can I get, for example, the third article and its title to automatically flow into the spot where the second article is if I were to delete the second article. Is something like this even possible.

My attempt at using multiple inline textframes inside of a text frame fell short because, as I found out from Dave Saunders, you can't thread inline text frames.

    Any Suggestions?

InDesign cannot do this by itself.
    You need
    - one frame for header 1
    - one 2clmn frame for article 1
    - one frame for header 2
    - one 2clmn frame for article 2
    - one frame for header 3
    - one 2clmn frame for article 3
    and so on.

You can make life easier by putting head+article properly linked iin a library and take it from there for every article.

There was discussion once to tackle this by script, but the task is rather daunting to do properly.

I have published a script that will do that at the start of a text frame, but not in the middle. I don't think it's possible to do in the middle of a frame because of the need to have the running text flow into the two columns within each section.

If you're interested in trying my script, you can read about it and download it from here: HeadStraddler <http://www.pdsassoc.com/index.php?Nav=solnssub&Ban=HeadStraddler&Info=PDSp roducts/HeadStraddler/index.php>.
