    Hi Tom,

I may be missing something in the READMEs for deliver, but it seems I
would need to maintain a list (alias.user) to do what I want. The
'users' in question don't have a HOME directory, and they show up in
my /etc/passwd file automatically (synchronization between WinNT
server and AFPS BDC). I would need to continually check the passwd
file to see if there were changes?

I figured I would have less hassle dealing with the 'real' users, as I
am the one that admins user additions/changes.

    Thanks

    I don't think you do.

Of course if you create a home directory and mailbox based on
/etc/passwd, you'll suddenly have junk piling up in akerr's mailbox. So
this script has to be smart about which users to fire up...

Huh. Hard for me to imagine a population of users which has completely
    not discovered email... ;-}

Great. Looking through the man pages gave me the impression that
running dbmbuild would not be necessary, but I've not done much in the
way of configuring mmdf so I wasn't sure. I could always add the
dbmbuild to my script, just to cover the bases.

Yep, the script weeds out the Advanced Server entries and checks
against the existing alias.n file (to continue to send those messages
to root). So far, so good.

This system doesn't handle our company's email - It's one of our
in-house systems used to maintain customer information. We have a
(cough, gasp, wheeze) Windoze box that handles our corporate email.
    (OK now, be nice!!)
