Configuring Xfree86 in text mode for redhat 9 - Linux Setup, Configuration & Administration

When I try to configure Xfree86 the screen goes blank and nothing happens. I log in as root in text mode . type redhat-config-xfree86 then screen goes blank My monitor is a Gnr F153...

    You might want to mention what your video card is, that has as much (if
    not more) to do with getting X to work than the monitor.

    My video card is NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200. AGP 8X 128MB

    I getting the following error
    (EE) VESA(0) : No matching modes
    (EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration

    Fatal IO error 104
