Connecting ColdFusion with Dreamweaver

I am a completely new user to ColdFusion, but am fairly familiar with
Dreamweaver. I am trying to create a login page for a website through
ColdFusion, but cannot get the two programs to connect with one another. I run
into trouble in steps 3 and 4 under Application>Database in Dreamweaver. I can
get #3 to check off, but I cannot get past #4, asking for the RDS login. I
created an RDS login password in CF, but that did not seem to fix the problem.
The Dreamweaver error message I get tells me that either my testing server is
incorrect or that CF is not running. I have tried several options for what my
testing server could be, but the only url that worked was the web address of my
site on the net. Am I missing a step?

Any and all help is appreciated! If you need more detail on my problem, let
me know.

I have just upgraded to CF 7 from 4.5...the current apps still seem to work,
but I am having these same issues when trying to create a NEW CF form, DW and
CF just don't want to connect...(can't get past #4).

I KNOW the CF server is working (as stated before - the current apps work)...
