Connection Error
I have a fried who is using the trial version of contribute. She
successfully connected on her first attempt and was able to edit the site.
Now she gets this message when attempting to login to her site:
http://webURL.com is already being used by the connection (name) Please
enter another web address.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Connection Error
Sounds like she's trying to create another connection - the connection only has
to be created once. After that, just click on the name of the site under
'Begin editing my websites'. Or just type a web address into the Address bar.

Connection error
Over the last couple of days I've set up FMS3 on a Server 2003 machine and an
XP machine. XP works perfectly (as far as I can tell). However, on the Server
2003 machine, although I can stream video on localhost using the samples
provided, I can't connect from outside. The sample page gives a 'connection
error' message.
In the administration console, View Applications > Live Log givces the
following:
[Q]Found wildcard (*) entry: disabling authentication for HTML file domains
Found wildcard (*) entry: disabling authentication for HTML file domains[/Q]
whereas it is blank on my working XP machine. A Google search gives only a
couple of results that appear to be related, but nothing that I understand.
Does anyone know what this error message means, and whether it is related to
the connection error problem? And how to solve it?

Connection Error
When trying to create a new connection, I receive an error message of:
[web address]
is already being used by the connection [no longer existing connection name].
Please enter another web address.
square brackets denoting variable fields.
The other connection is not visable in the 'My Connections' window, it was
deleted some time ago but doesnt seem to have been totally removed?
Using contribute 3.0, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Connection Error
I would check to see if you see the "removed" connection in the Edit
Connections panel. From the Edit menu, select My Connections. You might have to
remove all the connections under a particular Publishing Server, and add it
back.
