Can anybody please help me ?

I have set up a remote MySQL database ( on windows system), and have defined
the remote testing server and filled in the database information ( server,
username, password, database name). I have checked and double checked and
verified with the hosting company that all the information is correct. But when
I test the connection it connects, uploads my connection file and a file called
mysql.php and then I get the http error 405 that the method is not allowed.

My hosting company say they can connect through dreamweaver and that the error
must be with at my side.

Has anybody experienced this problem or help me with this? I usually use asp
and this is my first time doing the php connection.

I just do not know how to get further, I can see from some discussion groups
that Dreamweaver " produces old php code" can this be the problem??? I looked
at the code in the connection page and that looks OK to me.

I still use Dreamweaver MW2004 since Adobe/Macromedia does not allow me to
upgrade any more from the US ( after I have been buying from them in US since 8
years) and I live in France at the moment. ( and if I have to buy it in UK the
price is 37% higher...) Can it be that my php problem is solved with the new
dreamweaver version. Is php support enhanced in Dreamweaver 8 or not?

I hope someone will be so kind and help me

:)

Best regards

Ann
