Connection to MS-SQL server - Macromedia Contribute General Discussion

Hi We have a website built in ASP and SQL. I am trying to set up Contribute to allow management of the site, this works fine on the HTML sites, and HTML sections of the ASP-site. However, is it possible to edit the content stored in the SQL Database. The front page is a number of news stories, and it would be great if these could be updated without creating more back-office tools to manage the data. Thanks for your help Regards Vaughan Harris -------------------------------- The Grem...

    Default Connection to MS-SQL server

    Hi

We have a website built in ASP and SQL. I am trying to set up Contribute to
allow management of the site, this works fine on the HTML sites, and HTML
sections of the ASP-site. However, is it possible to edit the content stored
in the SQL Database. The front page is a number of news stories, and it would
be great if these could be updated without creating more back-office tools to
    manage the data.

    Thanks for your help

This isnt possible when you click on edit page contribute opens the file from the server. It doesnt send it to the IIS server for processing. Seems like you might have to build an front end for it.

Thanks for the answer. We'll get on and create out own tools then. It is still very useful for our predominately HTML sites though.

    Thanks
