Has anyone seen this before and if so how did you resolve the problem?

Re: Connection verification failed
I have the same problem. I just install evaluation copy of MX7 and try to move
all the settings from my CF5 server to MX7, but for some reason all ODBC
settings are gone and now I am trying to re-establish those connections and
getting this error: Connection verification failed for data source: <our
datasource name> java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC
Driver]TCP/IP error, connection refused. The root cause was that:
java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC Driver]TCP/IP error,
connection refused Any help on this matter would be really appreciated.
Thanks:camera;:confused;

Re: Connection verification failed
What database are you using? If it is MySQL 4.1, serach the Macromedia
Coldfusion knowledge base for "mySQL 4.1"

Connection verification failed
I have Coldfusion 6.1 and am installing it to a new server. I am trying to
connect to my SQL server with "Data Source Name" in the "Data & Services" area.
I already have databases on the SQL server and when I type all correct
information in to connect, I get the following error:
Connection verification failed for data source: edcom
[]java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]Error
establishing socket. Connection refused: connect
The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SQLServer
JDBC Driver]Error establishing socket. Connection refused: connect
I am running Coldfusion on Windows Server 2003 and the sql is on a 2000
machine. I have updated all critical updates on sql server but that doesn't
seem to help. Any ideas?

Re: Connection verification failed
The problem was that the SQL Server was wanting me to enter through a different port number than was normal. So I switched to the other port and got everything working.
