Default Connection verification failed for data source:mysqlTest

:confused;
Hi,

I'm trying to set up a datasource connecting up to a mySQL db from within the
CF administrator (cfmx version 6) and I get the following message.

-------------------------------------
Connection verification failed for data source: mysqlTest
[]java.sql.SQLException: Server configuration denies access to data source
The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: Server configuration denies
access to data source
-------------------------------------

I'm really new to this whole mySQL thing so I dont really even know what this
error message means let alone how to remedy the situation.

The platform I'm on is Windows 2000 server if that helps any.

Any ideas or help would be most appreciated.

Default Re: CF datasources with mySQL databases?!? Help!

Did you see this http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=6&threadid=901196?

I've only used mySQL on MX6.1, so I'm not sure if there are any MX6 specific issues.
