Re: Constant Need to "Update Layer"
ok,When I open the PSD document, i always get a prompt that says:
"Some text layers may need to be updated before they can be used for Vector Based Data" and asks would I like to update now. I say yes, update.
In PSD the file is fine, but when I save it to PDF, only Photoshop, or Reader 6.0 can read the file, Reader % says:
"there was an error processing a page. Ane error has occurred that may be fixed by installing the latest version of Traditional Chinese Language Support software"
The result is that NO text is readable, the font is something simple like Times New Roamn..but it will not appear in the PDF
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Re: Constant Need to "Update Layer"
Which version of Times NewRoman are you using?
And do you have multiple and conflicting versions of this typeface on your computer?
Also, when you make a PDF, you should embed all fonts.
Something of which to be aware: Times NewRoman MT was broken but can be repaired with Fontographer.
