    Default Consumer Survey

Given the upcoming public beta, it's high time for MS and all the fan-sites
    to take a public poll regarding Vista's progress;

Considering the time Vista/Longhorn has been under development and hype, the
impeding release date, and the final shape Vista is taking, are you,

    Excited,
    Satisfied,
    Indifferent,
    Disappointed, or
    Aghast

Care to bet on the percentage of people voting for Satisfied/Excited being a
    single digit number? :)

    Indifferent then :)

I started off as Excited, but after hearing about the targeted release date
    & seeing 5270 & 5308, I'll have to choose Disappointed :x

Personally I'm rather pleased that Vista has been delayed that much.
Hopefully it means it won't be released half-finished, the way XP was. Maybe
Microsoft is becoming mature at long last...

As of beta #2 b5308 on an ASUS K8V SE test machine with an Athlon 64
3200+ 754 CPU and 512 MB of RAM, I would give it Disappointed right now.
Hopefully, this will change in later betas and builds.

I do admit that the GUI and some graphic effects are very pretty and
neat even if it is slow. :) I will be needing to upgrade my computers if
I am going to use Vista with everything enabled.

I really hope MS can fix all these issues before its release date. :(

I gotta say that I'm currently satisfied (not quite excited, need a PC
upgrade to get to that level ;) ). I've had a chance to dig through lots of
stuff in the last couple of weeks. I've come across lots of nice little
touches that I've not seen in any reviews anywhere that just hint to me of
the care and attention that is going into Vista. There is plenty of fit and
polish left to do granted, but I'm confident that it'll get done.

Vista is bloated adware which is chocked full of DRM and ripped off it's
    look from OSX.

    Aghast is an understatement.

I'd say disappointed but its only because I got very used to having
certain things work perfectly. I purposely installed it on my machine
at home to be able to best report problems and to help Microsoft as
best as possible, so that the OS that they end up shipping is ready
    for primetime.
