    Michael,

I'm almost too embarrased to write this but.. AFAIK, the correct answer is
either Contax or Yashica, and that's it.

I don't know for sure whether current Contax bodies use the same mount - try
one of your lenses on any potential replacement body before you buy.

Some of the Yashica bodies are fine, and very cheap. Try the likes of "Cash
converters" and "Tradorama", that kind of thing. They tend to turn up in
these places and are dirt cheap. I have had a couple of Yashica bodies (I
think they were FX3's ) and they have been fine for general photography.

The 85 1.4 is worth a few bucks and is an extremely good lens, don't give it
away if you decide to sell the Contax gear. I had one, a Leica R 80 1.4 and
a Canon FD 85 1.2L (also an EF 85 1.2 L, on loan) all at the same time.
There was very little in it between the Contax and the Leica R.

wow! those zeiss lenses are great!
and each is worth more than three bodies.

my 139 broke down once, (only)
there was a tiny mirror that refleced light for the ttl flash.
it only needed gluing into place.
