Contribute 2 & Non-Web file types
I have a site set up in Contribute 2. I want the user in question to be
able to open an ASCII text file with a .TXT extension on the remote
server. Contribute 2 tells the user that she can't edit files of that type.
Other details:
- The user can edit other files (.php, .html).
- When I set the site up in Contribute 3, all of this works. Since we
don't have enough v.3 licenses, we deleted all of those settings and set
up the administration in v.2.
Is Contribute v.2 unable to edit such files?

Re: Contribute 2 & Non-Web file types
Just a little more detail. Contribute says...
"This file cannot be displayed in the Contribute Web browser.
"If the Edit button is enabled in the toolbar, you can click to edit
this file."
Unfortunately, the Edit button is not enabled. All Linux permissions are
correct, and Contribute preferences are set to allow editing .txt files
with Notepad & Excel, with Excel as the default.
Thanks.
