Contribute 4 crashes while opening

I double-click on Contribute 4 icon, the app starts, auto-connects to our site,
and IMMEDIATELY closes, without any warnings or error messages. Windows XP
event viewer doesn't report anything, either.

This only happens for ONE particular user. Other users can open Contribute
normally and connect to the site normally.

Among the things I tried were UNINSTALLING and reinstalling contribute and
redistributing the connection key to this user. Same thing... I also logged
onto that computer with a different username, and set up a site connection for
a different user in Contribute, and it crashes again.

The crash seems to occur AFTER contribute connects to the site, not before.

Is there a Contribute-specific error log somewhere (other than event viewer in
Windows)?

Any ideas??? Please help...

at least some help on how to troubleshoot this?

hmmmmm that is very strange, is that computer able to run Contribute? are
hardware specs match the min requirements. This all I could think of right now,
what about logging in with that username on another computer? it is possible
its this computer issue.

The computer is definitely good-enough to run Contribute. Actually,
Contribute ran fine on it until recently (I don't know what changed on the
computer to make it NOT work all of a sudden). it's definitely something on
THAT particular machine, though, because I can run Contribute as the same user
on a different computer, PLUS, if I try another user ON THAT PC, it crashes
just the same...

I just don't know where else to start looking, considering I've done an
uninstall and reinstall of Contribute already...
