Contribute 4 toolbars - ANNOYING!
OK - this is incredibly bad/intrusive design. I installed Contribute 4 and
it's added toolbars to just about all of my frequently used programs. I've
removed it successfully from IE, Firefox, etc. But the programs I use the
most, Word and Outlook, it won't go away. This is incredibly annoying: I'd
rather delete Contribute than be forced to live with some new "feature" (a bug
actually).
And - WOW! - what a new toolbar it is! I can paste things in my blog! Yay!
I'm so cool! Why didn't they give me a "paste to Myspace" button? Adobe not
hip enough?
Anyone know how to PERMANENTLY remove this bug? I keep deleting the toolbars
from Outlook/Word but when I shut down and fire them back up: there's the
crappy Contribute toolbar.

Re: Contribute 4 toolbars - ANNOYING!
To remove the Contribute Toolbars for MS Office and Internet Explorer and
Mozilla Firefox, just go into Add/Remove Programs, select Contribute 4, and
then choose Modify, it will prompt you to Optional Features, which you can then
uncheck and complete the wizard. Be sure to close out of the following programs
during the uninstall. Firefox may prompt you to run in Safe mode the first time
you relaunch it.

installing it or atleast when installing make sure you read the
installation wizard options.
1. When installing you can choose complete installation or Custom
installation
2. Why would any product want to add all the toolbars in almost all
the applications as you stated? doesnt sound polite to me in anyway !!
FYI, these are the new features in Contribute 4 which allow you to
instantly publish from any of your favorite MS Ofice/browser (IE/FF)
apps ONLY !!
3. When you choose complete installation you will get all the MS
Office toolbars and IE/Firefox toolbars. And NOT ALMOST ALL THE
APPLICATION !!! as you quote !!!
4. What less would you want to do when you have to delete something?
Probably first thing that any one would want to do is go to control
panel, click on contribute and click on Modify/Repair? and then un-check
what you want to remove!!!
Its so simple and why would you get confused !! When you are confused
and need help write to the people and not the "crappy" words!!
