Contribute as stand alone?
I would like to convert my website from Microsoft Front Page to a Mac based
program. Contribute has been recommended to me. I would like to know if I can
use this program by itself to create a website, without Dreamweaver or other
website development programs. Thank you.

Re: Contribute as stand alone?
You could use it as a stand-alone program to build websites.
First option:
1. You start with creating a new website connection
2. When you're done you pick in the menu File, New page
3. You can then choose a blank page, a standard Template (Starter Web Pages)
or a custom template (Templates)
Second option:
Of course you can try to create a template in any other program and upload it
to you server and place it in a map with the name Templates, with the extension
..dwt.
I haven't tryed al the possibilties this yet, but the uploading and
recognising went well, so it seems possible. For editable regions you can use
this code:
---
<body>
<!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="content" -->
editable content
<!-- InstanceEndEditable -->
</body>
---
Remember to use the Refresh Templates option, when you don't see anything, or
the old template.
If you don't have the prgram yet you could download the 30-day trial from
adobe.
grtz
