Contribute crashes, now it won't mount. Help!

Help! I have a Mac G5 with OS X 10.3.-
I tried to upgrade to 3.1 but it would not take. So I opened Contribute and
began work on a new page. After a few minutes of editing and attempting to
insert an swf file, Contribute crashed. I repeated this process 7 times, then
finally dragged Contribute to the trash so I could reinstall. When I tried to
empty trash, it gave me an error saying "cannot empty trash because commands is
in use." I've tried to empty the trash with Cocktail, but it won't do it
either.

I'm up and running again. I cleaned ALL of my licenses, rebooted and reinstalled with no problemo. Whew! Thanks to all the tech folk who helped me and those who thought about helping me.
