    Default Contribute Downside

    Can anyone tell me why NOT to buy contribute for web site editing? I got a lotta hype now I want the downside! Thanks!

    Janet,

    Working with CPS can be a hassle if your want to integrate privileges in Contribute with LDAP or WebDav.

    whats wrong with the license cost? $79 bucks is a hellaofalot cheaper than what
    you'd pay for -some- content management systems out there that cost well over
    the thousands...

    The only real downsides that I was able to see from using it is that it
    doesn't render PHP includes in edit view, (not sure about .shtml pages) and it
    doesn't allow the user to insert <abbr> or the <acronym> element into their
    pages.

    Other than that its been great for me! Hopfully version 4 will have a fix for
    the above mentioned downsides.
