Re: contribute is adding .LCK
When you "edit" a page in Contribute, Contribe appends the file in your FTP
space with .LCK. This way, no one else can edit the page until the .LCK
extension is removed.
It's Contribute's way of making sure only one person can edit a file at a time.
When you "publish" the page, the .LCK extension is removed. ( This will only
be seen using an FTP client. This is supposed to go on "behind the scenes" for
Contribute users.)
Is it possible, other people are editing files?
Another option is that Contribute somehow abandoned the .LCK files. Maybe
Contribute crashed before the files were published? In this case, use your FTP
client to remove the .LCK extensions from your files. Then you should be back
in business.

Re: contribute is adding .LCK
Scottsdale, I'm having the same problem with lck files. They aren't being
removed when I Publish, and no one but me is doing any editing to my website.
I need to ftp to my site and quickly remove all the lck files or else I can't
Publish. I even get lck files for alot of the images I've uploaded.
Got any suggestions??
