Actually, I have a couple of questions. The first one is concerning the
Contribute Trial version. I'm probably going to be switching from the Mac G4
that I have now to a Windows machine early next month and want to test out
Contribute. If I don't switch to a Windows machine, I'll definitely be getting
an upgraded Mac machine. I've been using different versions of Dreamweaver
before but haven't ever used Contribute and I'm evaluatingtwo options:
getting Studio 8 if we get the PC, or
Studio 8 vs. Dreamweaver if we stay with Mac.
I noticed that the tech requirements specify a CPU with a speed of 500 MHz
and mine is 466 MHz. I do have plenty of memory and can shut down everything
else while trialing the software, if necessary. Will Contribute still run,
albeit very slowly, on my machine or will I need to wait until I get the PC to
trial it? It's very important for me to trial it quickly so that I can get a
purchase proposal written up in time to get the purchasing done between 9/1 and
9/15 (budget/fiscal year restraints factoring in).
The second question is, assuming that I'll be able to trial the software on
the Mac, will I also be able to download a trial version on the PC we've bought
to make sure it plays well together with the other software on the computer
before purchasing? I won't care if the time expires on 9/15 since the
purchasing will have to be decided and done by then anyway.
Thanks,
Ann
