Contribute - pages hanging & having to crash out
When editing web pages, Contribute is very often hanging pages before we're
able to publish.
Once the pages hangs we have to crash out of Contribute and open it up again.
If we're lucjy we can open the draft in the drafts panel, thought sometimes if
you click on the draft it still won't open the page. We now have several drafts
in the panel which we can't open again.
I have looked at several posts about Contribute hanging but none of them seem
to answer the question. We have about 50 users on Contribute and it is very
frustrating when a 5min job to edit a page turns into a nightmare. Please help
us out.
We use Contribute 3.

Re: Contribute - pages hanging & having to crash out
We have had this problem as well. I have it at home on my home business site
and it is doing that relentlessly with Contribute 4.0. I haven't found an
answer for this - but haven't had the time to press it. I just keep
reconnecting and hope it will let me edit and then publish!!
We had a similar problem on our corporate website which was solved (not sure
if this is your problem, but thought I'd add it):
With our main site we had a severe slow down, and crashes and it turns out
that there was an issue with our new server. We had to replace the NETIOFTP.dll
file (see thread
