Contribute required for developer also?
I'm considering Contribute 3 for a client that needs to maintain site in-house.
I developed their site using Dreamweaver MX 2004 and wonder if I need to buy
Contribute as well as recommending they get it.
Thanks,
RD

that way you'll get to know the quirks of the program, just don't forget to
upgrade to 3.1!

Re: Contribute required for developer also?
It depends. What access will your client be allowed?
I deployed Contribute to various departments at work, but restricted the users
so that they cannot publish. So, they must send all pages to me for review
(I'm the webmaster, and we decided that marketing, HR, etc. should not be able
to publish without me looking at it first). For this reason, I had to get
Contribute as well to manage it, and review drafts and then publish them.
Contribute allows for an administrator role. However, it is not mandatory, so
if your clients will be having full access to any page and to publish changes,
then you will not need Contribute yourself. You can still use Dreamweaver with
ftp, or however you are editing the site currently.
Does that help?

Re: Contribute required for developer also?
better late then never:
get it. It's cheap, and if your client has issues you can be "johnny on the
spot" with help if you know the program.
