    Default Contribute Scalability

I want to use Contribute to provide a solution in which there will be 20 people editing the website concurrently. Can I do this?
What risks are involved in using contribute for large websites?.

    Default Re: Contribute Scalability

I have about 40 users working on one site and it isn't a problem. We started
with Contribute 2 and managing the connection keys was a bit of a headache.
When we upgraded to Contribute 3 we also implemented the CPS (Contribute
Publishing Server) which makes managing connections a breeze.

I'm being asked to host the staging server and the publishing server on the same box, is this likely to cause the slow performance that I'm seeing.

    Default Re: Contribute Scalability

That certainly could be the case. What kind of horsepower do you have? How busy
is your website? Is your website made up of static pages, or are there dynamic
    applications?

I'd be concerned about having the two sites on one physical server because
then you've got your public access coming into the same machine that the
Contribute users are working on. That would a security risk.
