Re: Contribute source code
Hi Jon,
If you just want to view the source, just browse to the page (don't "edit),
right click anywhere on the web page itself and pick "view source" like you
would in a web browser.
You can't edit the source code in Contribute itself, but you can set it up (in
version 3.11 or higher) to let you view/edit in Notepad or any other text/code
editor.
First make sure that in the Role permissions for your website, under Editing,
you have ticked the box "Allow users to edit web page source in external
application". (You need to be an Administrator to do this).
Then set up whatever code editor you want to use, by going to Edit >
Preferences... Choose File Editors on the left, then in the extensions box
scroll down to the Web Page Source option. Click on this to see what Editor is
set up. If there isn't one, use the + button to add whatever program you want
to use (e.g. Notepad).
You're now good to go. Browse to your page, click "Edit Page". Once it's in
Edit mode go to File > Actions > Edit Page Source in External Application. Edit
the source and save in the code/text editor. When you're done, switch back to
Contribute and follow the on screen instructions.

Jon or anyone -
When you update the source of a page in Notebook can you then update the source on your site with Contribute? If so what are the procedures?
Thanks
