Contribute wont connect online

I am using Contribute version 3, have been for 1 year. I use it to manage the
website of our business and make basic changes to text. Suddenly, when I open
Contribute and click on the hyperlink of my website, it does not open; thus, I
cannot edit any pages to make changes. I deleted the connection and tried to
create a new one, but I get the message "Contribute cannot verify your
connection information." However, going back a step, I relize when I try to
browse to my websites home page to create a new connection, that the internet
explorer browser cannot display any pages. I think the issue is that I cannot
connect to the internet while in contribute, but I know my internet is
connected, because I am using firefox as we speak to send this message. any
help would be great!

By default Contribute I believe uses the IE browser engine. Close
Contribute; see if you can connect to the site in IE. If yes: I wouldn't
know; if no, check your connection settings in IE.
