Contribute won't open

I have been using contribute CS3 on two networked Apple computers. All was fine
until the other day when suddenly contribute will not open on either computer
(I get the first screen, a spinning ball and then it just closes). I suspect
it's because I didn't deactivate the program before switching computers
(although it worked fine without deactivation for some time). I logged into my
computer as a different person (Apple users will no what this means) and
installed Contribute and it worked fine. Anyone have any ideas on this?

I suspect it's the deactivation thing. I tried the uninstall option, saving
settings but still wouldn't open. How would I completely remove Contribute from
the computers?

No answers from you "experts" but I finally got it fixed. Apparently it was
caused by a corrupted preference. From my backup I went back to a month earlier
when it was working and installed those preferences to replace the current
ones.

Fired up Contribute and all worked fine. Alleluia!!!
